Privacy Policy

Overview

ApexFuel is operated by GKApex Solutions LLC ("we", "our", "the app"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what we will never do with it.

We designed this app with a privacy-first philosophy: we do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information unless you explicitly provide it within the app for your own use.

Information We Collect

What you enter yourself:

Body metrics (weight, height, age, sex) — stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your encrypted account via Supabase.
Food and nutrition logs — stored on your device and account.
Goal settings (calorie targets, macro goals, goal mode).

Authentication:

When you sign in with Google, we receive a unique anonymous identifier (Google ID). We do not receive or store your Google display name, email address, profile photo, or contacts.

App usage:

We may collect anonymous, aggregated crash reports and performance metrics to improve the app. These contain no personal information.

How We Use Your Information

To calculate your personalized calorie and macro targets (all calculations run locally on your device).
To sync your nutrition logs across your devices via your encrypted account.
To provide AI-powered food logging and coaching via Google Gemini (see AI section below).
To manage your subscription via RevenueCat.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the app's features.

AI Coaching (Google Gemini)

ApexFuel uses Google's Gemini AI to interpret your food descriptions and provide coaching messages. When you use the AI chat:

Your messages and today's food log summary are sent to Google's Gemini API.
We do not send your name, email, or account ID to Google.
Google processes this data per their AI/ML Privacy Policy.
Do not include sensitive personal information (medical conditions, medications) in chat messages.

Third-Party Services

Google Sign-In — used for authentication only. We store a hashed anonymous ID, not your Google account details.

Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Supabase is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant.

RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives a device identifier and purchase history.

We do not share your data with any other third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

Data Storage & Retention

Nutrition logs and profile data are stored on your device and optionally in your Supabase account.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via the app menu → Delete Account & Data.
If you uninstall the app, locally stored data is deleted automatically by your device's operating system.

Children's Privacy

ApexFuel is not intended for users under the age of 16. Calorie restriction and body composition tracking are not appropriate for minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us immediately.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us at support@gkapexsolutions.com or using the in-app deletion option.
